Top Tips for Changing Your Look

If you've ever looked at yourself in the mirror and wondered how you can change what you see to feel better about yourself, then you're not alone.

Nothing might have changed, it could just be that you're ready for something different.

While some people might just want to change the design of their glasses from time to time, others might be more extreme and decide to get laser eye surgery so they won't even need glasses anymore.

Others might choose to use brown contact lenses if they've got blue eyes to change their eye colour to give themselves a dramatic new look.

No matter how you choose to change your image, remember that you want it to reflect who you are, and also make you feel fantastic, so here are some tips:

1. Give your lips a new colour

If you're not a lipstick person, maybe now is the time to start embracing it. If you're already a lipstick lover, switching your current colour can make a big difference to how you feel. Lips have appeal, and every single time you smile or you pucker your lips, you could feel more confident.

You could be very subtle in your makeup choices and then slick on a darker shade and feel that inner vixen in you come out.

2. Change your accessories

Accessories really don't get the respect that they deserve as part of your wardrobe. You don't even have to have a particularly big wardrobe budget to really maximise your accessories.

You might not be able to buy yourself a brand new winter coat, but you can buy yourself a beautiful scarf to go with your old one. Updating your accessories can help you feel like you're changing your appearance, and so can improve your self confidence as a result.

3. Upgrade your hairstyle

If you have a hairdresser that you trust and go too regularly, ask them to help you to upgrade your hairstyle. Allow them that they can make changes that you wouldn't normally make, but that they think would suit your complexion and your features.

If you are currently a mousy blonde colour, then perhaps you can go to a dramatically dark colour or if you're currently embracing dark hair, why not go lighter and go with that ashy blonde look?

4. Try shops you wouldn't normally go to

Another way you could get out of your comfort zone in terms of your style is to try things in places you wouldn't normally go. New styles, new materials, new accessories. They can be either exciting or intimidating, depending on how you look at them. Taking the time to choose the right ones is important, but you're not going to know until you're going to try.
