Not every day can be 10/10, it’s true, but isn’t it a good idea to strive for those perfect, memorable days?
There are too many people who are just living for the weekend, when we should make the most of every day. After all, you only get one shot at life, wishing it away doesn’t make much sense. The good news is that the ingredients for having a good day aren’t a mystery. I filmed a perfect morning blog previously, but we’ll run through a few ideas in this blog post.
Start the Day Well
You should start as you mean to go on, no matter what it is that you’re doing. So if you’re hoping to have a great day, then start it as you mean to go on. That means getting a good night’s rest, having a nutritious breakfast, and, perhaps most important of all, giving yourself all the time you need to get ready and out the front door. There’s no avoiding the fact that rushing to get ready is not the best start. Get up on time and take things slow!
Calm and Alert
It’s also impossible to have a great day if you’re half-asleep, or if you’re feeling overly stressed. So your next mission should be to make sure that you’re calm and alert. There are a few good ways to do this. To have a calm day, try meditating in the morning, as well as visitation, scripting and yoga. Some people swear by CBD oil and carry it with them, like the kind you’ll find at www.cbdoilking.co.uk. It can help to minimise any symptoms of stress. On the alert front, it can be a good idea to take a cold shower (You get used to it) and have energy boosting snacks throughout the day.
Moments of Joy
And now for the fun stuff: moments of joy! It doesn’t matter how much work and so on you have to do; there’s always time, or at least there should always be time, to do something that puts a smile on your face. This could be something as simple as listening to your favourite podcast on your way to work, stopping by a park on your lunch break, or anything else. A day without joy is a wasted day, don’t forget it!
Move Your Body
Your body wants to move, even if your mind tries to convince you that it doesn’t. My dog is always happier after it's been on a fun walk, and you will be too. It doesn’t matter what type of exercise you do, whether it be cycling, running, or a walk -- the point is to move.
Relaxing and Friends
Finally, be sure to make some time for the important things in life -- namely, looking after yourself by resting well and spending some time with your friends or family. Whether it’s a phone call or you all get together to unwind, you’ll find that it’s a pretty perfect way to top off what will have been a great day.
What makes your day great?
