If you spend your mornings running around searching for your car keys, phone, handbag and anything else you might need for the day ahead, then you probably start your day feeling stressed out before you've even begun.
Getting off to a bad start in the morning can put the rest of your whole day out of synch.
The problem is that once you start to feel like your life is a little chaotic and disorganised, things can quickly snowball out of control, and it can be hard to get back on top of things.
Being organised is not something that comes naturally to everyone, but if you can get organised, it certainly makes life a lot easier. So if you are looking for ways to gain back some control in your life and to feel more organised then these hacks should help you to do just that:
Declutter
Find yourself tripping over items left on the floor of your home that don’t belong anywhere? If so, it is time to start decluttering and to claim back your space. Having lots of clutter around you can make you feel overwhelmed and reluctant to even begin as the job seems too big to tackle. However, taking small steps, such as doing 10 minutes a day can help to alleviate the issue.
Decluttering doesn’t mean that you have to throw everything out, if there are items that you want to keep, then why not use self storage to ensure that you have access to the items when you need them, without them causing a trip hazard in your home.
Paperwork
Paperwork may not be the most exciting thing in the world, but a lot of the time, it is pretty important. There’s nothing worse than needing to access an important document, but being unable to find it anywhere. To keep your paperwork under control, try to keep it in the same area, but filed away into relevant sections. Essential paperwork should be kept in a fireproof storage box to keep it extra safe. Knowing exactly where everything you need is will help to prevent that horrible feeling of panic when you can’t find that important document anywhere.
Preparation
If your mornings are usually a time of chaos and panic, and usually result in you being late for wherever you need to go, then it’s time to start some preparations to make your life easier. Buy a planner. Once a week, write down everything you want to achieve in the week ahead. Before you go to bed each night, prepare as much as you can for the following morning. Make sure your keys are where they should be, that your bag is packed and that your clothes for the next day are ironed and laid out ready for you to put on in the morning.
Preparing for the next day can feel like a drag when you just want to get to bed, but you’ll be pleased you did when morning comes and your day gets off to a stress-free start!
